Sasko were losing market share in low LSM areas, and asked us to develop an asset that would build brand love and awareness within key areas in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. The concept needed to connect consumers to the brand and enable the brand to engage with consumers on the ground.

Built out of the insight that sport connects and brings people together, we conceptualised and developed Sasko “Shap Shooters”, a national football tournament that hosted 40 teams per region. We onboarded the teams through in-school activations, and incentivised Spaza shops to create awareness through a custom-built app, collateral and giveaways.
We held tournaments in key areas, including football mobile football pitches, competition activity areas and product sampling opportunities. This culminated in regional finals where the winning team won cash for their school and facility upgrades.
Results
The campaign resulted in incredible consumer engagement and brand love with the opportunity to upgrade 3 school soccer pitches in communities in need.
